Sushi For Everyone


Working with Yuji Haraguchi of Okonomi Market, I designed and illustrated the first edition of Yuji’s Shokuiku 食育 (Food Education) series. We started off the series with everyone’s favorite, sushi. To gather IRL references, I experienced an interactive sushi class from Yuji himself at his East Village fish market. I learned not only how to make different types of sushis, but also the history and different sushi inventions that have adjusted with local taste buds/culture.





Okonomi Market


Located in Brooklyn, Okonomi Market is a collaboration of Osakana and Okonomi // Yuji Ramen. The market offers a full menu of Japanese bento boxes and mazemen for take-away, along with retail Japanese-grade fish and specialty Japanese groceries.

The rise of hate crimes towards the Asian American community is staggering. I wanted to bring awareness and spread the word on the traumatic facts that Asian Americans are facing today so that the community can stand united against racism.

I created wallpaper that celebrates a piece of the Asian-American experience. The humble chinese cabbage, aka pak choi, symbolizes prosperity in Chinese. It is one of my grandparent’s favorite vegetables, as it doesn’t go bad fast.
Asian hate crimes have risen up to 160% in New York. I helped donate and create graphics to support a movement that helps Asian women, elderly, and LGBTQ+ to safely travel without fear of being attacked.

Their long record of industry innovations and its continuously expanding global network has brought vast improvements in cost efficiency and transparency, benefiting the institutions, companies, and individuals who rely on these critical markets.



Project Concept


The year 2020 marked MarketAxess 20th year anniversary – a big celebration was planned to take place until the world was hit with a global pandemic. We had to pivot our strategy from an in-person celebration to creating an interactive microsite. The microsite features a timeline that highlights key milestones in their 20 year history, educating people of how MarketAxess came to be the leader in electronic trading. The microsite is a great tool to be shared internally with employees from their global offices, and externally to their key stakeholders. With safety being a top priority, the microsite is an apt solution that could be continously updated as MarketAxess continue their legacy through out the years.

Project summary





During Monterey’s annual Car Week, Rolls-Royce–one of the motorcars industry leader–held a four-day event for top tier clients and key guests at the RR Villa. The villa was located at a beautiful location with views of the Monterey Bay and Pebbel Beach, California. The graphics and environmental design was inspired by Rolls-Royce’s featured cars of 2018.




Bringing the theme to the dining area, I designed a large-scale dining table and a backdrop of the Spirit of Ecstacy greeting the guests. The table above represent the global locations of Rolls-Royce villas.



Process for the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’
I created the iconic Rolls-Royce angel as the backdrop for the dining experience inside the villa. The angel was made out of more than 1,000 glowing stars.
